She has worked in the navy and on cruise ships taking her all over the world and found that her love for South Africa ran deeper so she started her career in guiding. Qualifying as a field guide she set off traveling over Southern Africa to places like Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Zambië and all over South Africa. Her path led her to Cape Town where she worked mostly for GAdventures doing their National Geographic tours. Currently she is studying for her Winelands tours and Culture Guide National certificate. She is very passionate over her job, country and above all her two young boys who mean the world to her.
Piet de Crom
Born and bred in the Netherlands and went to New Zealand with the rest of the family. Graduated from high school in Christchurch. We returned to Holland again as a family unit and I worked there for 2 years after which I emigrated on my own to South Africa. Africa had always drawn me from a nature perspective and South Africa was a convenient option at the time. After having had 3 “real jobs” in SA, I decided to leave the corporate world and made a life changing decision to turn to tour guiding – something I had considered for many years. I am a qualified and registered (culture and nature) tour guide in South Africa (GP3187), speak Afrikaans, English and Dutch and have guided more than 350 trips in SA as well as selected tours in Zimbabwe and Botswana during the past 11 years. I love to travel and enjoy photography and sharing information
